Its electronic filter operates a selection between weak and loud sounds. Weaker sounds are continuously amplified, whereas louder ones get limited to a safe 92 dB. Continuous amplification Unlike other amplifying systems, the Mega Ears maintains the amplification for softer or distant sounds, even while its protective system has to cut off the amplification of violent sounds. |

Stereo and directional, Exclusively on the MEGA EARS, each ear cup has its own directional microphone. Its directional stereo system gives you a natural perception of amplified sounds and allows you to determine from where and how far an amplified sound came. Used as a simple hearing protection it decreases sound by 29 dB. |
