This call imitates the powerful distress squeals of a dying hare and attracts predators over long distances. Out of curiosity, they will approach very close or stay still, listening in the direction of the distress calls, which gives you ample time for shooting. The body of the call is made of hardwood and its two metal reeds produces high frequency sounds that are well perceived by predators such as the fox.
